Early-ish on a rainy Saturday morning we ended up at this casual spot as it turned out to be Plan “B” when our original choice was not open yet. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

The menu here is very straight forward (see photos for chalkboard sign menu). They do also have a “Create your own Omelette” option. I enjoyed my Veggie and Goat Cheese Omelette which came with choice of bread and a fruit salad. Simple, but the flavours were there. The multigrain bread was quite fabulous, now that I think about it, warm and toasty. My friend had the Prosciutto, Spinach and Feta Omelette.

The baked goods looked nice, and I had my eye on the Peanut Butter Pain au Chocolat but was too full after my omelette to partake.

I love Brioche! We need more places like this in the city. The photos are great! Good work on the I have a place to look for ideas on Sunday morning. ;)

I think I must have ordered wrong at Brioche - the chicken ravioli with cream sauce, because it tasted like processed meat covered in melted processed cheese. This was on a weekday lunch hour, so their display cases also weren't filled with any of the yummy pastries in your pictures either... Based on your review, I think I might give them another chance for a weekend brunch.

Another great recommendation. We've been in town for three days and have so far enjoyed Miura waffle bar, The Templeton, and today Brioche which was the best so far. Great food (the salmon and scrambled egg croissant was delicious and came with a side of fresh fruit), great location, and family friendly. Highly recommended.

We went to Brioche for breakfast today and it was faantastic. We had two of the "normal" and one omlette of own choice. It was just delicious and we were too stuffed to even think about tasting some thing of the pastries... :)

Hello, I think your blog is a terrific idea. Breakfast is one of my favorite meals and its a great way to discover a city's food. That said, it was with great enthusiasm
that we headed out to Brioche. I ordered the veggie and goat cheese omelet and my husband, a Frenchman, ordered the steak and eggs. Although the portions were generous, the food was overcooked and greasy. What a shame. We were so hopeful. Thought you would like to know. All the best,

Hi Jane,

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment. I have definitely learned from breakfast blogging that every person's experience is subjective. I post a list of my favourites as they are experiences that I have enjoyed, I'm not saying that everyone else will enjoy theirs. It's interesting to me that you thought I would be interested to know that you didn't enjoy your experience, as I am much more interested in hearing stories of places you do enjoy. If you have a great breakfast experience somewhere, be sure to let me know. Happy breakfasting.
