Wild Wood Bistro & Bar (Whistler)

The Wild Wood Bistro is labelled as a “local’s secret”, and it is, mostly due to its unusual location inside the Whistler Racquet Club. It’s run by the Wild Wood Group, which also operates the Wild Wood Café in Function Junction and Elements (one of my faves) in Whistler Village.

The ambience is a cross between racquet club (duh) and the ubiquitous west coast mountain decor. The show stopper is the two-story windows taking full advantage of the view of both Blackcomb and Whistler mountains. There are outdoor tennis courts and a pool which would be lovely to use in the warmer months.

The food is of great quality – highlights were the farmer’s sausage, multigrain toast, roasted Pemberton potatoes and the must-have Banana Bread French Toast. Yum.

4500 Northlands Boulevard, Whistler
Breakfast hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Daily
