Sunset Grill

The Sunset Grill bills itself a “neighbourhood pub and restaurant”, but, really, it is a pub complete with the requisite TVs tuned to the sports network – one tele for each 5 square feet. Even though it was quite early on a Sunday morning, the crowd was quite boisterous, perhaps still celebrating from the night before?

Typical breakfast/pub fare on the menu. My Irish Breakfast came with the works - bacon, sausage, eggs, mushrooms, grilled tomato, potatoes and soda bread. Just down the street was the running of the Vancouver Marathon. We popped over afterwards to cheer on the participants. I’m not sure which habit is more responsible for coronary overload - my love of breakfast or those runners’ love of pounding the pavement. I call it a tie.
