The Galley at Jericho

After years of eating meals on the patio of The Galley at the Jericho Sailing Centre, this was the first time I visited for breakfast. Wow, I have been missing out! The combination of the serene setting – the view, the sunshine, the light morning breeze – and the food – delicious and well executed – provided one of the best breakfast experiences I have enjoyed in this city!

Available in the summer only, the breakfast menu is short, but rounded. My guy had the Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Omelette. He loved the added touch of capers and red onion. I ate the Jericho Frittata with spinach, onions and sausage. Both dishes were served with “breakfast potatoes” seasoned with rosemary and paprika, and multigrain toast with house-made strawberry jam. Although it requires some effort, attention to these small details elevate a meal from ho-hum to fantastic. Ay, I wish some other restaurants would take notice.

Went there this morning, a weekday. Although they are open and serving burger-type fare during their normal hours, breakfast is only on weekends and holidays.

I'll look forward to trying this another time!

Hi Aaron, sorry about that, yes, the hours have changed since last year. I do hope you make it on a weekend to enjoy.

The Galley has not changed management - same owner for years and an additional manager. :-) Aaron is correct though - breakfasts are only on weekends and in high season, from April to September ( Oct - weather permitting).

Thanks, Anonymous. I cannot remember what gave me the impression that it was under new management, thanks for letting us know!
