John’s Place (Victoria)

Talk about memories. When I was in high school, my spare block was “G” block which meant on Wednesdays I had the class immediately before and after lunch free. One of my good friends also had the same spare block and this meant that every Wednesday, we would be lunching at John’s Place.

John’s Place has been a Victoria landmark for 25 years now. And while the decor has changed over time (and the jukebox!), it still retains it’s diner feel and remains a locals hot spot. The breakfast menu is classic and offers up anything one might desire – fluffy pancakes, waffles, corned beef hash, bennys, tex mex, omelettes, etc.

If you’re in Victoria, be sure to participate in a piece of its history. Go to John’s – eat, enjoy, sit back, relax, digest.

Oh the stories we Mothers find out after the fact!
Loved the Yankee corned beef hash and it's always great to have you home!
Love, Mom

I will always fondly remember the pancake & waffle sauce at John's. I think it was a blend of maple syrup & cream cheese. Decadent!
