The Buffet at River Rock

I love a diner dive as much as the next person, however, today I was feeling “delicate” and wanted white linens and big picture windows to feel sheltered from the grey, drizzly rain. My guy said, “yeah, but those kind of places serve small portions.” The solution – a buffet. I get my white linens, he gets his portions – everybody happy. For the gorging, available are: your standard breakfast items, an omelette station, Chinese items, an extensive salad bar and a dessert bar.

The River Rock Casino does a brisk business, morning, noon and night. I could say I wasn’t surprised at how busy the casino was at 10:30 on a Sunday morning, but, really, I was a little surprised. The River Rock Casino Hotel has been under massive renovations for the past year. To be unveiled soon, the new hotel lobby promises to be a show stopper. Speaking of shows, there are some high profile performers comin’ up at the River Rock Show Theatre – Bill Cosby, Bill Maher and Jay Leno.

You never mentioned the quality of the food, just that you can get a lot. Fairly poor review of breakfast, next time talk more about the food would ya? Thanks.

Dear Anonymous,
Thanks for stopping by. This site is a journal of my breakfast adventures, it was never intended to be a restaurant review site. If you would like to read reviews, there are many great websites for that:

Happy breakfasting!
