Havana

Autentico? I have no idea. Popular? Yes. Havana is one of the most frequented spots on the Drive. Inside the restaurant was packed, so we huddled with others outside on the covered, heated patio. Even on a cold, windy, rainy Vancouver winter day, the patio was full. It wasn’t much of a hardship, really. The Hot Chocolate was warming, the service was swift, and the food was served up quickly.

On the menu are variations on the theme of chorizo, beans, eggs and rice. The Chorizo Hash with onions, peppers, and tomatoes came with poached eggs topped with hollandaise. My breakfast – the Spanish Frittata – was the same ingredients, just in a different form.
